Customized Caution Tape and Wet Signs

The European Commission and ACTED NGO invited the CCC Projet Collective to create work that would raise awareness for a campaign concerning Karamoja, a region in Africa that struggles with issues on pastoralism, nomadism and climate change. Our project was to bring this to a broader perspective in expressing the effects of “borders” in which we designed a special caution tape with the statement “THIS IS NOT A NATURAL BORDER” as well as designing wet signs with the statement “CAUTION BORDER”. Both items in which we utilized for their mobile quality have been placed in different areas of the European Parliament in Brussels, Belgium and around the city. This installation is currently travelling in various cities in Europe.
